At the AvtoVAZ plant in Tolyatti, there is a mass departure of employees caused by a decrease in income levels after switching to a shortened work week. This is reported by Telegram channels Mash and ASTRA, citing workers at the enterprise.
Since September 29, AvtoVAZ introduced a four-day work week instead of a five-day one, with this regime planned to last for six months. According to representatives of the company's management, this measure was aimed at preserving jobs and the workforce, as well as preventing mass staff reductions.
As previously reported by Interfax, citing data from Avtostat, since January 2025, sales volumes of Lada cars produced by the AvtoVAZ concern have fallen by 24.9%.
