French special forces have detained the oil tanker Boracay, sailing under the Benin flag and belonging to the Russian "shadow fleet." This information was reported by Reuters and AFP agencies.

Journalists specify that the incident occurred on September 27 in the English Channel. According to MarineTraffic data, the Boracay vessel left the port of Primorsk in the Leningrad region on September 20, heading for India. It passed through the Baltic Sea, rounded Denmark, and entered the North Sea. After the tanker passed the northwestern coast of France, it was followed by a French military vessel. As a result, the ship was redirected to the eastern coast, where it anchored.
