French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu has resigned. This information was reported by the television channel BFM and the publication Le Monde, citing informed government sources.

According to their data, President Macron has already approved the resignation of the head of government. This step came after Lecornu faced harsh criticism from opposition forces, triggered by the composition of the new cabinet of ministers he presented last Sunday. The opposition then announced its readiness to initiate a vote of no confidence in the government, as reported by the BBC.

Lecornu held the position of prime minister for only 27 days, making it the shortest term in French history. His appointment to this position took place on September 9 of this year, and he became the fifth head of government in the country in the last two years.
