The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has developed a draft law providing for the involvement of citizens in the reserve of the Armed Forces to perform tasks during peacetime. This information was published by the RBC media outlet, which cites a copy of the relevant document.

According to the proposal by the initiative's authors, a provision is planned to be introduced into the law "On Defense," allowing reservists to be involved in performing tasks in the event of armed conflicts, counterterrorism operations, as well as when the army is used abroad. For this purpose, citizens will be sent to so-called "special training sessions," the decision to conduct which will be made by the President of Russia.

The text of the draft clarifies that "special training sessions" are military training sessions organized to address specific tasks in the field of defense. Only reservists will participate in them, and the duration of such sessions should not exceed two months.
