The Vilegodsky District Court of the Arkhangelsk Region has sentenced Sergey Yakimov, the head of the Urdomskoye municipality, who is also known as a participant in the environmental protest at Shies. The court sentenced him to two and a half years in a general regime penal colony. The basis for the sentence was the charge of abuse of official authority, which led to grave consequences, classified under Part 3 of Article 285 of the Russian Criminal Code.
