A Russian citizen, who also holds Belgian citizenship, was detained at the border. He has been charged with treason, the basis for which was the transfer of funds to his former girlfriend.

At the border between Russia and Latvia, 48-year-old Mikhail Loshchinin, who holds Russian and Belgian citizenship, was detained. He was heading to St. Petersburg to visit his ill father. Subsequently, the man was placed under arrest as a preventive measure under Article 275 of the Russian Criminal Code (state treason). According to the publication "Sever. Realii," the basis for the charges was money transfers to his former girlfriend.
