Over the course of two days, two alarming incidents occurred in Cyprus: an employee of the Russian diplomatic mission committed suicide, and the disappearance of the former head of the company "Uralkali" was recorded.

According to Cypriot police, on January 7, the former CEO of "Uralkali," Vladislav Baumgertner, went missing in Limassol. As reported by the television channel ANT1, the following day, a high-ranking employee of the Russian embassy was found dead in his office in Nicosia.
