An assassination attempt was made against Vladimir Alexeyev, deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian Defense Ministry, in the capital of Russia. Following the incident, he was taken to a hospital for medical assistance.

According to "Vedomosti," citing data from the Investigative Committee, an attack was carried out in Moscow against Lieutenant General of the Russian Defense Ministry Vladimir Alexeyev. An unidentified assailant fired several shots into the serviceman's back.
