Ads for contract service in the unmanned systems troops were posted on the VKontakte pages of schools No. 57 and No. 83. Readers of Groza drew attention to this.

Both campaign posts were published on February 13 without any additional labels. It is unknown whether similar ads appeared on the social media pages of other schools.

Earlier, an internal Defense Ministry document appeared in the public domain saying that 78.8 thousand people are planned to be recruited into the unmanned troops in 2026.

Before that, active campaigning to recruit citizens into UAV troops began in Russian universities. The outlet Faridaily wrote that the Ministry of Science and Higher Education tasked university rectors with sending at least 2% of students to the war in Ukraine.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that he knows nothing about the recruitment of students into UAV troops.
