The Central District Court of Komsomolsk-on-Amur found Jing Jiunpeng, Zhou Zhaodan, Guo Guanbei, and Feng Ao guilty under an administrative article on organizing a mass gathering of citizens in a public place that led to a breach of public order. Mediazona drew attention to this.
The case is believed to be linked to a protest on April 12 over unpaid wages. All four Chinese citizens were given administrative punishment, although the exact penalty was not specified.
Earlier, the court fined another Chinese citizen who took part in the rally against delayed wages in Komsomolsk-on-Amur 50,000 rubles.
Last Sunday, hundreds of workers from the Chinese construction company Petro-Hehua marched in a column through Komsomolsk-on-Amur. They appealed to Rosneft chief Igor Sechin and Vladimir Putin for help over unpaid wages at a construction camp near the Komsomolsk refinery. After the march, some of the workers staged a sit-in protest in a forest park.
