The Strait of Hormuz is open to the movement of all commercial vessels for the period of the ceasefire in Lebanon, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said.
"In accordance with the ceasefire in Lebanon, passage for all commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is declared fully open for the remaining period of the ceasefire along the agreed route already announced by the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization," Araghchi wrote.
Following Iran's statement, the price of Brent crude on the ICE exchange in London fell below $90 a barrel for the first time since March 11.
A day earlier, Lebanon and Israel agreed to a ten-day truce, which took effect at 00:00 Moscow time. Earlier, Israel had refused to halt its ground operation in Lebanon under the U.S.-Iran ceasefire agreement of April 8.
The escalation between Lebanon and Israel began in March after Hezbollah resumed strikes on Israel in response to the U.S.-Israeli operation against Iran and the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
