On the night of April 22, the entrance of a residential building in Syzran partially collapsed during a Ukrainian drone attack, Samara Region governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said.

According to Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry, the bodies of two people — a woman and a child — were found under the rubble. Another 12 people were injured, and three of them were hospitalized.

As the Telegram channel ASTRA reports, the collapsed building is located on Astrakhanskaya Street, about three kilometers from the Syzran oil refinery.

Another residential building in Syzran was also hit, according to the pro-government Telegram channel Mash. Its residents were evacuated, and rescuers are continuing to search for victims.

The Telegram channel Supernova+ claims that the local refinery was the target of the attack. In December 2025, the facility suspended oil processing after one of the attacks. The previous attack on the Syzran refinery took place on April 18.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, air defense forces shot down 155 drones overnight over 12 regions and the Black Sea.
