Russian forces are carrying out a combined missile and drone attack on Kyiv. According to the latest data, at least 16 locations have come under attack, and five people were injured. This was reported by Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
Details. The first reports of strikes appeared at around 01:00 Moscow time. In the Obolon district, a fire broke out in an apartment building; warehouse facilities and cars also caught fire. In the Pechersk district, a five-story residential building and a dormitory building are burning; in the Podil district, a three-story residential building and a private house are on fire; in the Solomianskyi district, a nine-story residential building is burning.
In addition, a fire broke out on the roof of the Assumption Cathedral on the grounds of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. According to Tkachenko, the damage is substantial.
In northern Kyiv, 140,000 people were left without electricity because of damage to a power transmission line, Mayor of the Ukrainian capital Vitali Klitschko said.
