A fuel storage site caught fire in Rybinsk after a drone attack, and an “oil rain” fell over the city

A mass attack by Ukrainian drones was repelled in the Yaroslavl region, and debris from the UAVs fell on industrial fuel storage facilities, regional governor Mikhail Evraev said. The airports of Yaroslavl and Kostroma temporarily suspended operations.

The Telegram channels Exilenova+ and ASTRA report that the strike hit the Rosrezerv facility FGKU “Kombinat ‘Temp’” in Rybinsk, which is used for fuel storage. A fire broke out at the site, and footage from the city shows a large column of smoke. An “oil rain” fell over the city.

Tula region. In Novomoskovsk, debris from a downed Ukrainian drone fell on the grounds of an industrial enterprise, governor Dmitry Milyaev said. Exilenova+ and ASTRA claim that the Azot chemical plant was attacked and that a fire broke out on its premises.

Oryol region. In Oryol, a multi-apartment residential building caught fire after the Ukrainian attack, ASTRA and Exilenova+ reported. Later, Oryol region governor Andrei Klychkov said that one person was killed in the strike, while nine others were receiving medical and psychological assistance.

Smolensk region. In Vyazma, debris from a downed UAV fell on a private residential house, injuring an elderly woman, regional head Vasily Anokhin said. ASTRA claims that a fire broke out in the city near the railway depot.

Kaluga region. In Kaluga, glazing in two non-residential buildings was damaged as a result of the Ukrainian drone attack, governor Vladislav Shapsha said. The local airport temporarily suspended operations.

Moscow. Air defense systems shot down four UAVs heading toward Moscow, said the city’s mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Restrictions were imposed on the arrival and departure of flights at Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports.
