Stanislav Morozov, a blogger from Penza, said that two administrative cases were opened against him after public remarks about the local military enlistment office and Vladimir Putin.
According to Morozov, the issue arose from his description of the Penza enlistment office on Skladskaya Street, which he called a
“torture camp”, as well as his statement that Putin is
“evil for the entire post-Soviet space”.
Law enforcement officials say the blogger is accused of insulting the president under Article 20.1 Part 3 of Russia’s Code of Administrative Offenses, and of abusing freedom of mass information under Article 13.15 Part 9.
Morozov said he is currently editing a video containing testimony from female relatives of men from Penza. According to him, those men were forced to sign contracts with the Defense Ministry.
The blogger also told journalists from 7x7 that he had been summoned for questioning by the Investigative Committee.
Morozov said his remarks may also be examined under a criminal statute on incitement of hatred or enmity, namely Article 282 Part 1 of the Criminal Code.
