The FSB said it had detained a resident of the Moscow region whom the agency accuses of carrying out “intimidation actions” against three servicemen. The agency’s statement was reported by TASS.
According to the FSB, the young man found a part-time job advertisement on a certain “marketplace” and then contacted a person on Telegram whom the agency describes as a “representative of the Ukrainian special services”. The interlocutor allegedly introduced himself as an employee of a debt collection agency.
The FSB claims that in May 2026 the detainee, acting on that person’s instructions, carried out “so-called intimidation actions” at the home addresses of three employees of the Ministry of Defense. The agency did not specify what exactly those actions involved.
A criminal case has been opened against the detainee on charges of hooliganism under Article 213, Part 2 of the Russian Criminal Code. The FSB also said it intends to additionally open a case on treason under Article 275.
The report was accompanied by video showing security officers breaking down the door of the young man’s apartment and then forcing him, naked, onto the floor. He is later seen covering himself with a towel and shirt while delivering a filmed confession.
This is not the first similar episode reported by the security service. Earlier, in April, the FSB accused two Moscow residents of hanging hammers “with traces of a brown-colored liquid” on the doors of Roskomnadzor employees at the instruction of a person who introduced himself as a representative of “detective and collection agencies.”
