On the evening of June 21, posts appeared in Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin's Telegram channel saying “Moscow will burn”, along with links to a fundraiser for drones for the AFU.
The posts were published in the channel “Sergey Sobyanin. Personal Blog”, which has nearly 40,000 subscribers. As Meduza notes, Sobyanin also has another Telegram channel with about 358,000 subscribers.
According to Mediazona, the published messages also included links to a fundraiser for Ukrainian troops run by the foundation “Spilnota Sternenka”.
Shortly after these posts appeared, the channel was closed. An archived version of it remained available through the TgStat service.
By morning, the mayor's previous posts had reappeared in the channel. The latest of them, the report says, was dated June 17.
Moscow City Hall had not commented on the incident at the time of publication.
