Missile strike on Voronezh: Ukrainian forces attacked a defense enterprise

On June 22, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a missile strike on Voronezh. Voronezh region governor Aleksandr Gusev said air defenses had shot down “several high-speed aerial targets” over the regional capital.

According to the governor, the attack damaged production facilities at one of Voronezh’s enterprises, as well as the facades of several apartment buildings and a number of cars. Three people were injured, one of them seriously.

According to OSINT analysts, the target of the strike was the main building of the Sborka semiconductor device plant. The Ukrainian General Staff later confirmed the attack on the enterprise.

The Sborka plant is under Western sanctions. According to the report, it manufactures electronics for Iskander and Kh-101 missiles, as well as for Pantsir-S1 air defense systems.

Photos and videos from eyewitnesses indicate that a fire broke out at the plant after the strike. A column of black smoke was visible over the city.
