Five people were killed in a missile attack on Voronezh, according to Voronezh region governor Aleksandr Gusev. He said the most serious damage was recorded at an industrial facility in the city’s left-bank district.
Earlier, the Ukrainian OSINT project Exilenova+ claimed that the strike hit the Voronezh Semiconductor Devices Plant, located on Leninsky Prospekt on the left bank of the Voronezh River. The plant produces components for Russian missiles and has been placed under sanctions by the United States and Ukraine.
Gusev wrote that several dozen people sought medical assistance after the attack. Most of them have already been sent home. He also said that a large share of the plant’s employees managed to reach a shelter in time and were unharmed.
According to the governor, the fire that broke out after the strike has been extinguished, but debris removal is still continuing at the site. In addition to the enterprise itself, facades and windows of 10 apartment buildings were damaged, along with dozens of cars. Roofs of six buildings in the private housing sector were also affected.
Gusev said the families of those killed would receive 1 million rubles each, while those seriously injured would receive 300,000 rubles.
Earlier, Russian monitoring channels reported that three Storm Shadow missiles had been intercepted over the Voronezh region. The pro-war channel “Voevoda Veshchaet” also claimed that Ukrainian forces may have used U.S.-made ERAM, long-range air-launched munitions designed for strikes on ground targets. No confirmation of their use was provided.
