Satellite images from Planet Labs, published by the Schemes project of Radio Liberty, indicate that at least two buildings were damaged at the Sborka semiconductor plant in Voronezh after a Ukrainian missile strike.
The satellite photographs are dated June 23. Damage to the plant’s buildings can also be seen in photos and videos of the strike that were previously circulated by pro-war and monitoring channels.
On June 22, Ukrainian forces carried out a missile strike on Voronezh. After the attack, Voronezh region governor Alexander Gusev said that “production facilities of one of Voronezh’s enterprises” had been damaged.
Later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that this plant had been the target. According to the Ukrainian military, the enterprise manufactures electronics for Iskander and Kh-101 missiles, as well as for Pantsir-S1 air defense systems.
According to the governor, five people were killed in the strike. Days of mourning were declared in the Voronezh region from June 23 to June 25.
As Meduza noted, Russian federal television channels did not include the strike on Voronezh in their news broadcasts.
