Russian strikes hit at least four gas stations in Ukraine

Overnight Russian attacks hit at least four gas stations in Ukraine. That follows reports from Ukrainian regional authorities and emergency services. According to official statements, the gravest consequences were recorded in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Zaporizhzhia regional governor Ivan Fedorov said that two people were killed and 22 others were injured in Russian strikes on the region. He said a total of 973 strikes were launched on 48 settlements. Ukraine’s emergency service added that two gas stations were among the sites hit. A municipal enterprise, a residential building, cars and a closed catering venue were also damaged.

Other overnight strikes

In the Sumy region, regional governor Oleh Hryhorov said at least four people were injured in a strike on a gas station in Sumy. Two station employees were hospitalized.

Dnipropetrovsk regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said Russian forces carried out 20 strikes on five districts of the region. He said there were no casualties. Damage was reported to a gas station, private homes, a cultural center, a college, a dormitory, a health complex and vehicles.

At the same time, reports emerged of strikes on sites inside Russia and in annexed Crimea. The monitoring channel Exilenova+ claimed that Ukrainian forces struck an oil refinery in Ufa, causing a fire at the facility. Local authorities had not officially commented on that claim at the time of publication.

In Russia’s Krasnodar region, according to Krasnoarmeysky district head Aleksandr Kharitonov, the Poltavskaya oil depot caught fire after debris from a Ukrainian drone fell there. Exilenova+ said three tanks were burning. Crimea’s Russian-installed head Sergei Aksyonov said two people, including a child, were killed and two more were injured in Ukrainian shelling.

In the Bryansk region, acting governor Yegor Kovalchuk said two people were killed and four were injured when a drone struck a car in the Starodubsky district. Four more people were reported injured elsewhere in the region. In the Belgorod region, the regional operational headquarters said one person was killed in a drone strike on a car and five others were injured; homes, infrastructure, vehicles and agricultural equipment were also damaged.
