A fire broke out in the area of oil refineries in Ufa amid an announced drone attack warning in the Ural regions.
Ukrainian Telegram channels Exilenova+ and Supernova+ said an oil refinery had been targeted. They also published several photos and videos from the scene.
According to Ufa1, city residents saw a thick column of black smoke rising from the direction of Chernikovka. Two oil refineries owned by Bashneft are located in that area.
The regional branch of the Emergency Situations Ministry did not officially provide details, saying only that the information was being clarified.
Mkset, citing unofficial information from within the agency, reported that in the refinery area,
“there may have been a drone strike.”
Before the incident, a drone attack warning had been declared in the Ural regions. At the time of publication, the authorities of Bashkortostan had not commented on what happened.
