The Rossosh District Court of the Voronezh Region has assigned punishment to former serviceman Aleksandr Lunin under an administrative protocol for displaying “extremist” symbols. The outlet Verstka drew attention to the case.
Case materials reached the court on June 27 at 10:00 a.m., and the hearing took place at 11:30 a.m.. Information about the proceedings appeared on the court’s website only today. The published records do not specify what exactly prompted the protocol or what precise punishment Lunin received.
Earlier, a Telegram channel linked to the serviceman reported that he had been arrested for 11 days, though the reasons for that arrest were not disclosed at the time.
39-year-old Aleksandr Lunin, from the Voronezh Region, posted a video address to Vladimir Putin on social media on June 25, demanding a personal meeting. If refused, he said that “the army will turn its weapons against the Kremlin.”
A few days later, according to Lunin, he was contacted by informant and FPBK head Vitaly Borodin, who invited him to Moscow. After that, the former serviceman stopped responding. On the eve of the court report, a message appeared on his Telegram channel saying that Borodin was “ready to help Aleksandr get out of prison.”
Lunin’s wife, Tatyana, posted a video saying that on the night of June 27, police came to their home in the Voronezh Region with a search warrant. According to her, officers seized computer equipment, flash drives, laptops, a disk, and other items. She later deleted the video from TikTok and then wrote on VKontakte that her husband was “alive and well” and had asked for no comments for the time being.
