In the Kirov region, the electrical engineering plant Lepse was fined 50,000 rubles because it failed to provide the required number of employees for the mobilization reserve. This was reported by Verstka.
According to a court ruling found by journalists, the plant was required to meet its quota for the number of workers enrolled in the reserve by March 4. The company’s management failed to do so, and in early June the plant was penalized under an article covering failure to comply with a decision of the governor or the regional operational headquarters.
The plant’s lawyers, according to Verstka, said the management had taken steps to recruit employees into the reserve. However, they said efforts to persuade workers were unsuccessful.
It was not possible to find suitable candidates to join the reserve, although the quota has now been fulfilled.
Mediazona also reported that at least two other enterprises in the region were fined for a shortage of reservists. These were the Kirov factories Selmash and Mayak.
