Russia’s Defense Ministry said that during the night of July 13, Russian forces carried out strikes on Ukrainian ports in the Odesa region. According to the ministry, the target was port infrastructure in Chornomorsk allegedly used to store military cargo.
Ukrainian authorities reported the consequences of the attack in Odesa. Serhiy Lysak, head of the city’s military administration, said that three people were injured in the Russian strike.
According to him, the attack hit the grounds of a motor transport enterprise, where buses caught fire afterward. In addition, four private homes were damaged.
Later, Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper said that in Odesa district, one Russian drone struck the upper floors of a residential high-rise building. Another drone, he said, damaged the roof of a construction supermarket.
Separate reports described the impact of attacks in Zaporizhzhia. Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said that late on July 12, a Russian drone attack wounded six people, including a child.
In one apartment building, flats on the second through fourth floors caught fire. Local authorities also said that over the past day, 13 people were injured in Russia’s strikes across Zaporizhzhia region, and 11 multi-storey residential buildings were damaged.
