A fire broke out in an industrial zone in the hamlet of Vyazniki near Stavropol after a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Stavropol region. Regional governor Vladimir Vladimirov reported the strike and said there were no casualties, but did not specify what exactly had caught fire.
The outlet Astra, citing photos and videos from eyewitnesses, reported that the burning site was an oil depot in Vyazniki. According to the publication, this is the second oil depot in the area to have been attacked over the past week. Another depot, located about 1.2 kilometers from the facility reportedly hit on July 13, was attacked on the night of July 9.
The Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channel Exilenova+ also claimed that an oil depot was burning in Mikhaylovka in the Stavropol region, a locality near Vyazniki.
Authorities also reported consequences of drone strikes in other regions. In the Temryuk district of Krasnodar Krai, the regional оперативный штаб said a fire broke out on the grounds of an enterprise. In the settlement of Ilyich, drone debris fell onto a private home’s property, setting an outbuilding on fire. In the Belorechensk district, debris damaged a hangar containing equipment at another enterprise. Local officials said there were no casualties in the region.
In the Belgorod region, regional head Aleksandr Shuvayev said a resident of the village of Belovskoye was killed in a missile strike and three other people were injured. In Belgorod city, a fire broke out at an energy infrastructure facility, and several districts experienced disruptions to electricity and water supplies.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said that by the morning of July 13, air defense forces had intercepted and destroyed 342 Ukrainian drones over 14 regions of the country, annexed Crimea, and the Azov and Black seas. The ministry did not say how many drones in total were launched. At the same time, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that more than 350 drones had flown toward the Moscow region overnight alone.
