Galustyan presented the TV show “Battle of Drones” to Putin; the president called propaganda “an extremely important thing”

Comedian and producer Mikhail Galustyan announced plans for a Russian television show called “Battle of Drones”. According to TASS, he spoke about the project at the “Everything for Victory!” forum during a meeting with Vladimir Putin.

Galustyan said the new program is intended to make the subject of drones clearer, more engaging, and more popular for a broad audience. He added that filming is planned to take place “in the most beautiful places of our homeland.”

“The show ‘Battle of Drones’ that we came up with is an opportunity to open up this topic, make it understandable, interesting, and popular. We plan to film in the most beautiful places of our homeland. Participants in the special military operation, students, bloggers, and stars will compete on one team,” Galustyan said.

Putin, in response, wished the project success and specifically emphasized the importance of its ideological role.

“Success to you. Propaganda is an extremely important thing,” the president replied.

The outlet notes that in recent months, amid a shortage of volunteers, the Russian authorities have been actively recruiting students for the war. Promotional materials claim they will serve as drone operators far from the front line for one year.

The publication says those claims are false: contracts with the Russian Defense Ministry during wartime are open-ended, and assignment to a particular branch of service remains at the discretion of military command.
