The Baltic Fleet Military Court sentenced two minors from Russia’s Kaliningrad region to five years in a juvenile correctional colony in a case involving photographs of infrastructure facilities and a local military draft office. The decision was reported by the press services of the court, the Investigative Committee, and the prosecutor’s office.
According to the court, the defendants were 17 and 16 years old. They were found guilty under Article 205.5, Part 2 of the Russian Criminal Code, which concerns involvement in a terrorist organization. In the court’s press release, they are identified only as D. and V. The verdict was announced today.
Investigators say the teenagers passed coordinates and photographs of cell towers, as well as electrical equipment cabinets located in the Polessky district, to a representative of an unnamed terrorist organization.
The prosecution also alleges that they posed for a photograph near the military commissariat building in Guryevsk while holding Molotov cocktails and a sign dedicated to that organization. Those images were later sent to a “handler,” according to the court’s press service.
In March 2025, the Investigative Committee says, the minors were contacted via a messenger app. According to the investigation, they were paid about 25,000 rubles in cryptocurrency for transmitting the information.
It became known in April 2026 that the teenagers had been placed in pretrial detention.
