Political prisoner Nadin Geisler says she has received no letters in the colony for nearly a month

Political prisoner and activist Nadin Geisler told her relatives from the penal colony that she has not been receiving correspondence for almost a month. Her letter was published in her support group’s chat, as noted by Novaya-Europe.

According to Geisler, since June 22 she has received not a single letter, although her friends say they have been writing to her. In the same letter, she described health problems and asked her relatives to submit a request to the colony administration.

The activist wrote that she needs examinations of her heart, head, and blood vessels. She also said she had developed acute tooth pain and urgently needed paid dental treatment and medication.

“Everything is bad. I love you and miss you immensely,” Geisler ended her letter.

Nadin Geisler, whose real name is Nadezhda Rossinskaya, lives in the Belgorod region and founded the volunteer movement “Army of Beauties”, which helped refugees from Ukraine. According to her friend Ivan Shavlov, she assisted people on both sides of the border and worked with almost no rest, after which she developed serious health problems.

In June of last year, a military court sentenced the activist to 22 years in prison and a fine of 320,000 rubles. She was convicted on charges of treason, aiding terrorism, and publicly calling for actions against Russia’s security. Investigators said that in August 2023 she published an appeal to donate to the Ukrainian Azov battalion, which Russia has designated a terrorist organization. Geisler herself did not admit guilt.
