Tennis player Daria Kasatkina, currently ranked No. 63 in the world, and figure skater Natalia Zabiiako, a silver medalist at the 2018 Olympics, have announced that they are married. The athletes shared the news on Instagram.
The wedding ceremony took place in Greece, where same-sex marriage is legal. According to the report, the guests included tennis players from Russia and Ukraine.
Kasatkina had long been considered Russia’s top-ranked player. In 2025, she began competing for Australia, and a year later she received Australian citizenship.
Zabiiako represented Russia from 2015 to 2020 in a pair with Alexander Enbert. Together they won silver medals at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Kasatkina and Zabiiako publicly spoke about their relationship in 2022. At that time, Kasatkina also openly spoke out against the war.
The athletes said on Instagram that they had gotten married.
