In Odesa, a nighttime Russian missile strike killed two people and injured seven others. The information was reported by Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.
According to the agency, the strike hit a three-story residential building as well as nearby cars.
On the morning of July 17, Russia’s Defense Ministry also reported the attack on Odesa, but its statement referred only to damage to port facilities. The ministry did not comment on the strike on the residential building.
“Port infrastructure facilities used for unloading fuel and lubricants were hit. Two workshops for the production and assembly of unmanned aerial vehicles were also struck,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The Russian statement also said that another target of the attack was the port of Chornomorsk in Odesa region.
