Justice Ministry adds the Libertarian Party of Russia and the Fourth Sector project to the “foreign agents” register

Russia’s Ministry of Justice has added the Libertarian Party of Russia and the media support project Fourth Sector to the register of “foreign agents.” The information was published on the ministry’s website.

In the list of people linked to the Libertarian Party of Russia, the ministry names 24 individuals. Among them are the party’s current chair Marina Matsapulina and SVTV founder Mikhail Svetov.

For the Fourth Sector project, the ministry also published a separate list of associated individuals. It includes the project’s founders — Perm journalists Anastasia Sechina, Vladimir Sokolov, and Mikhail Danilovich.

That same list also mentions two other people: journalist Alexander Polivanov and publicist Dmitry Petrov.

As the report notes, Dmitry Petrov Sr. is the father of Russian anarchist activist and Ukrainian Armed Forces volunteer Dmitry Petrov Jr. Petrov Jr. was killed at the front in April 2023.

Petrov Sr. is also the author of the book Parent’s Day, посвященной жизни и судьбе его сына.
