Investigative Committee officers carried out searches at the homes of relatives belonging to Pussy Riot members Maria Alyokhina and Olga Borisova, according to activist sources speaking to Mediazona.
Journalists reported that authorities were executing investigative measures in a criminal case concerning "fake news" driven by political hostility (under sections "b" and "e" of Article 207.3, Part 2 of the Criminal Code) targeting Pussy Riot. Alongside Alyokhina and Borisova, the case names Diana Burkot, Alina Petrova, and Taso Pletner as defendants.
The searches involving Alyokhina's relatives occurred in Moscow, while those linked to Borisova took place in St. Petersburg. Mediazona confirmed that at least one relative was called in for questioning as a witness by the Investigative Committee. It remains unclear whether Burkot, Petrova, or Pletner's relatives were also subjected to searches.
