According to information from the Bloomberg agency, as a result of a massive missile attack carried out by Russia, 60% of Ukraine's gas extraction infrastructure was disabled.

The attack, which occurred on October 3, was targeted at the Kharkiv and Poltava regions. As reported by the agency, the material damage from the destruction is estimated at 758 million euros.

Bloomberg also notes that under the current circumstances, Ukraine will be forced to purchase approximately 4.4 billion cubic meters of gas by the end of March, which constitutes about 20% of its annual consumption. The cost of such imports could reach 1.9 billion euros.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Moscow's actions are aimed at depriving Kyiv of the ability to independently ensure gas extraction.

During the October 3 attack, over 380 unmanned aerial vehicles were launched at Ukraine, along with several ballistic missiles. The company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" characterized this strike on the country's gas extraction complex as the most extensive since the beginning of the full-scale military conflict.
