Gorby magazine has declared its final edition will be published. Editor-in-chief Andrei Lipsky shared this news in an official statement.

"Our remarkable intellectual journey spanning 23 issues has concluded. It lasted nearly two years before being cut short—not due to weariness, mutual disinterest, or disillusionment with the ideals that brought us together, but by those opposed to free exploration," Lipsky stated.

He emphasized that "the pursuit of truth, peace, and justice" remains unshakable and cannot be "crushed."

On June 20, Russia's Ministry of Justice added Gorby Media's website and Telegram channel to its "foreign agents" registry. The ministry accused the outlet of spreading "misleading information" regarding decisions by Russian authorities, the electoral system, and the Russian Orthodox Church.

Launched in August 2023 to mark the first anniversary of former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev's passing, Gorby magazine aimed to "demystify history, present realities, and the future," as described by its founders.
