In the Altai region, demonstrators obstructed traffic on the Chike-Taman pass highway, carrying protest signs targeting regional leader Andrei Turchak, according to Siberian Express.

The crowd voiced opposition to Turchak's proposed dismantling of the two-level local governance structure, along with their disapproval of Alexander Prokopyev's interim appointment as head of the regional government. Prokopyev previously served as a State Duma deputy.
