On the evening of June 1, police conducted a search operation at a warehouse located in an industrial area along Sverdlovsk tract in Chelyabinsk, according to 74.ru.
The Telegram channel Mash, known for its law enforcement connections, states that the warehouse owners were apprehended. The facility was reportedly empty when authorities collected samples to test for explosive residues, as reported by the pro-government outlet Ura.ru, citing unnamed security sources.
The anonymous Telegram channel "VChK-OGPU" alleges that everyone linked to the warehouse, including its leaseholders, has been detained. One tenant, a Russian national, allegedly fled the country via Kazakhstan. The channel also claims traces of hexogen were discovered at the site.
Codenamed "Spider's Web," the operation was reportedly orchestrated by Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU), causing an estimated $2 billion in damages, per a BBC source. RBC-Ukraine adds that the attack, personally overseen by SBU chief Vasyl Malyuk, targeted over 40 aircraft.
The strikes affected airfields in Russia’s Ryazan, Murmansk, Irkutsk, and Ivanovo regions. The Russian Defense Ministry condemned the incident as a "terrorist act" but confirmed no casualties. Several individuals suspected of involvement have been arrested.
