Russia has suggested a follow-up meeting with Ukraine in Istanbul scheduled for June 2, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"The Russian side has swiftly prepared a memorandum outlining our stance on comprehensively addressing the underlying causes of this crisis, as previously agreed," Lavrov stated. "Our delegation, led by V.R. Medinsky, is prepared to present this document to Ukrainian representatives and provide clarifications during the second round of renewed direct negotiations in Istanbul next Monday, June 2."

The initial discussions between Russia and Ukraine occurred in Istanbul on May 16. Among the outcomes, both parties consented to a prisoner exchange under the "1,000 for 1,000" arrangement.
