United Russia State Duma member Mikhail Tarasenko reportedly participated in 11 parliamentary votes on July 22, the day of his death, as revealed by BBC Russian Service.

Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin announced the deputy's passing during a plenary session the previous day, stating Tarasenko had been "gravely ill, but the illness proved stronger." Initial media reports emerged around 14:50 Moscow time.

Despite his death, records show Tarasenko "approved" the "Denunciation of the Wetlands Convention" law and cast votes in three readings for legislation permitting widows of deceased special military operation participants to use their late husbands' vehicles before inheritance. The final vote attributed to him occurred at 13:40 Moscow time, according to the State Duma's official records.

However, Tarasenko did not participate in voting on a bill imposing fines for searching "extremist materials." The BBC speculates that by then, news of his death had likely reached the Duma, preventing further votes being recorded under his name.
