Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the possibility of ending the military conflict in Ukraine with American leader Donald Trump during a phone call. According to Kremlin reporters, the conversation lasted over 120 minutes.
The Russian president described the communication with his American counterpart as "open and productive." According to him, a ceasefire with Ukraine can only be achieved "after developing mutually acceptable agreements."
During the call, Putin also mentioned that the draft memorandum between Russia and Ukraine could include provisions on ending hostilities and basic principles for a settlement. The Russian side, as the president emphasized, is ready to work jointly with Ukrainian partners on this document. Special attention was given to the need for finding compromise solutions that satisfy the interests of both countries.
