Historian Tamara Eidelman faces another criminal prosecution under Russia's "fake news" law concerning military misinformation (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code), according to a security services source cited by RIA Novosti.

The charges stem from allegedly false information about Russian armed forces posted on Eidelman's Telegram channel.

Earlier this year, RIA Novosti reported a separate case against Eidelman under Article 354.1 (Part 2, Section "c") of the Criminal Code for allegedly promoting Nazism online, though details of the accusation were not disclosed.

This follows an initial case in June 2024 under Article 354.1 (Part 4), triggered by a YouTube video authorities claimed showed disrespect toward Russia's military commemorations and insulted the memory of wartime defenders.

Eidelman, currently residing outside Russia, was designated a "foreign agent" by the Justice Ministry in September 2022. In March, Novaya-Europe's editor-in-chief Kirill Martynov interviewed her about the war's societal impact in Russia.
