The head of the 155th independent Guards Marine Brigade, Guards Colonel Sergei Ilyin, died during a "special military operation." The Urmarsky district administration in Chuvashia confirmed his funeral arrangements through their press service.

Born in Musirmy village within Urmarsky district, Ilyin's exact circumstances of death were not disclosed by officials.
