In Ingushetia, 16-year-old Islam Musiev (formerly known as Zelimkhan Temirkhanov) has lost contact after reporting violent abuse and death threats from family members to human rights organizations, according to the crisis group SK SOS.
The activists stated that Musiev reached out to them several months ago, describing ongoing physical abuse, domestic violence, and threats to his life from relatives he lived with. He pleaded for evacuation from his dangerous situation.
SK SOS reported: "Islam said he was confined at home, forcibly removed from school, and subjected to constant surveillance. His hair was shaved, he endured regular beatings, and his family repeatedly threatened to kill him."
