Telegram users in Russia received a notification from the messenger offering them the option to purchase Premium for two years at once — “while it is still possible.”
“In the near future, subscribing to Telegram Premium may become technically impossible in your region. Today [March 31] is the last opportunity to pay for Telegram Premium,” the message says.

Earlier, messenger owner Pavel Durov criticized Apple over the blocking of VPN apps in the Russian App Store. At the same time, he did not comment on the situation with Premium subscriptions.
In the summer of 2025, Roskomnadzor began restricting calls in Telegram, citing a “fight against fraud.” At the end of February, an RBC source reported that the messenger was planned to be fully blocked in Russia in the first days of April.
