The coastal volunteer unit "Tiger" has formed its first all-female squad, with members preparing to deploy to the conflict in Ukraine. Regional governor Oleg Kozhemyako made this announcement, revealing that five women have enlisted, including Ekaterina Vannikova, head of Olginsky district.
These recruits will serve as combat medics supporting Russian forces. Kozhemyako stated that the women, now fully trained under the "Bars" program, will shortly depart for active duty.
The governor praised their choice to serve on the frontline as "a commendable and courageous decision."
