Elshan Ibragimov, leader of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Moscow region, has had his Russian citizenship revoked, as he personally confirmed to Azerbaijan's Oxy.az news outlet.

When questioned about the reasons behind this decision, Ibragimov stated he would travel to Azerbaijan shortly to provide further details. A source from RBC reported that the revocation occurred on June 18 due to alleged "actions posing a threat to Russia's national security."

Citing leaked documents, "Agency" reports that Ibragimov obtained Russian citizenship by 2001 at the latest. His most recent passport, referenced in the leaks, is now marked as invalid in the Interior Ministry's records.

The Telegram channel "Beware of the News" noted that Ibragimov's details have already been deleted from the Moscow Region Public Chamber's website.

In a separate development, an Orenburg court has detained Zaur Shipilov, an Azerbaijani national described as a "criminal authority," under charges related to holding a high-ranking position in organized crime.

Meanwhile, Russian media recently reported the arrest of Azerbaijani businessman Vagif Suleymanov, a known figure in criminal circles. He is currently held at the Sakharovo migration center and is expected to be deported to Azerbaijan within three months.
