Iran and Israel verified the details shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump declared a cessation of hostilities.
A statement from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office claimed Tel Aviv had secured "monumental historical accomplishments" and neutralized two critical threats during its military campaign against Iran. The Israeli Defense Forces reportedly established complete air dominance over Tehran and inflicted significant damage on Iran's military leadership.
The announcement further warned that Israel would retaliate militarily against any breach of the ceasefire.
Iran persisted with attacks until 4:00 AM local time (03:30 Moscow time), continuing strikes against Israel even after the truce was announced. In Be'er Sheba, a rocket struck a residential building, resulting in four fatalities. Iranian state media later confirmed the nation's acceptance of the peace deal.
