Vandals targeted a Stalin monument in Amirovo village, Bashkortostan, by splashing it with paint, as reported by SOTA.
The activist group "Bez kara khalyk" ("We are ordinary people") claimed responsibility for the act.
Their statement declared: "Bashkortostan should not honor tyrants and oppressors who persecuted our nation. Over 50,000 of our people suffered under Stalin's repressions—alongside Tatars, Chuvash, and even Russians."
