Seven killed in Ukrainian drone strikes on Wildberries warehouses in Tambov region and Elektrostal

Seven people were killed in a Ukrainian drone strike on a Wildberries warehouse in Russia’s Tambov region, according to regional head Yevgeny Pervyshov. He said another 25 people were injured.

The governor said one of the wounded was in extremely serious condition, while six others were seriously injured. Pervyshov also said he had visited those hospitalized in the regional hospital.

According to the regional head, this was the largest attack on the region in terms of the number of incoming drones and casualties. He claimed the drones had been fitted with metal ball bearings as lethal elements, which, in his assessment, caused the greatest harm to civilians.

In addition, 24 Wildberries employees were injured in a strike on the company’s warehouse in Elektrostal, Moscow region. Company founder Tatyana Kim described the overnight events as “terrible” and said assistance would be provided to the injured and to the families of those killed.

The Investigative Committee has opened criminal cases under terrorism charges. Law enforcement officers and forensic specialists are continuing to work at the strike sites.
