Zelensky said drone components were stored at the Wildberries warehouses hit in the attack

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the Ukrainian drone attack on Wildberries warehouses in the Moscow and Tambov regions. He said the strike was a response to Russian attacks on Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.

According to Zelensky, the company’s logistics centers stored components used in drone production. He also said the facilities were being used to supply sanctioned parts and navigation equipment.

“Today our long-range sanctions worked in three directions on Russian territory, as well as on our temporarily occupied land and at sea. In particular, in response to Russian strikes on our civilian infrastructure, on our cities and regions, two major logistics facilities were hit — in the Moscow and Tambov regions, at distances of more than 500 and about 700 kilometers from the front line. They were used by the aggressor to ensure supplies of sanctioned components for drone production and navigation equipment. An oil facility was also hit,” the Ukrainian president said.

According to the reported figures, the attack on the Wildberries warehouse in the Tambov region killed seven company employees, while another 25 people were injured.

Another 24 people were reported injured after Ukrainian drones struck the company’s logistics center in Elektrostal in the Moscow region.
